I'm reviewing this based on my CHILD's reaction, as this is a juvenile novel. It's written in fairy tale style, so the characters and dialog are unrealistic in that sense, but the story has a good message and my daughter truly enjoyed it. I read it to her chapter by chapter each night at bedtime, and she would always ask me to please keep going! She had no problem following the story, or keeping the characters straight. I definitely recommend the book, and it's predecessor "The Cat Who Made Nothing Something Again" which I read to my kids last year and they both enjoyed it.Product details

This is a great children's story! Having daughters of my own I am always on the lookout for new books for them especially ones with imagination and truth, which this one has both. The adventure starts with Samuel, a wolf and many interesting characters along the way, as he tries to save a home for forest animals from a dangerous fire. There is also the message of friendship, love and acceptance not to mention humor -) threaded throughout this story. I really liked it. It was both entertaining and hopeful.
This is a really awesome book, and I'd recommend it to anyone. So if you love cats, and you love adventures, and you love it when things like animals, trees, and fire talk, then you will love this book.
Very, very good book! Nice and short, again, only took me 20-25 minutes of straight-out reading to finish. The morale of the story reminded me of a bible passage I read a long time ago. Maxon is the man! 5/5 stars!
Complex concepts shared as a charming story about an obnoxious cat. He's on another adventure meeting a new group of quirky creatures. The wolf is my personal favorite. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. Delightful and insightful all at once.
A tail of hope, faith and courage. Rewarding on both a spiritual and emotional level, and just a darn good book as well. Perfect for both young and old.
This book is written so well, and kept us wanting to keep reading and reading. Great characters and content! Highly recommended to everyone young and old.
I gave it four because I liked adventure. Also I had two cats, and loved them both. The reason I didn't give it a five is because its geared to a younger generation of readers. But this story is a light read and it fit my leisure time wonderful. I didn't have to put it down because I couldn't understand it thru my fatigue from 9 hour days work as a maintenance man in an industrial plant. Sometimes admitting reading books like this makes you feel embarrassed, because of the animals talking and other fantasy related events. But, it is just what I needed to be inspired be the thrill of the story, and reading it was deffinately a feel good read for me.
